Figtree Cottage With The Caribbean Sea In The Distance Figtree Cottage      The cottage is reached by a separate gate at the bottom of the garden or through a winding path from the house and pool area past a fabulous flamboyant tree which is in full bloom in the late spring and early summer.  The path leads through terraced gardens  passing the huge Figtree that gave the cottage its name.  In recent years another porch has been added to the cottage as well as an air conditioned second bedroom, which faces west and is the only room that needs air conditioning  on summer afternoons.      The front of the cottage and the secluded, shady patio add to the romantic, picturesque ambiance that makes for a perfect vacation. Honeymooners, empty nesters, young families - all seem to enjoy their stay in the cottage. Over the  ten years that we have been receiving vacationers  many keep returning for a quiet yet memorable vacation in a totally different world far from commercial bustle. The Figtree Cottage Porch Overlooking The Garden From The Porch The Entrance At Figtree Cottage Tropical Gardens At Figtree Cottage      Yet the cottage has all expected amenities from a well equipped kitchen and linens to LCD cable TV, dvd player and library of movies, games, and books.  MP3 hook up to Bose speakers, gas BBQ, and separate telephone line and wireless internet.  The large bathroom holds a closet washer/dryer which comes in handy for personal laundry if you prefer to do it yourself. Household linens and cleaning services are provided three times weekly.  Our housekeeper will also provide cooking / babysitting services by separate arrangement. The cottage is rented with pool shared with owners if they are in residence. The house and the cottage is never rented to separate parties at the same time, but the owners may be in residence in one or the other, ceding exclusive use of the pool to house renters.      We have a young child ourselves and are very safety conscious and therefore only accept children provided they are properly supervised. We do have a pool alarm and safety gates etc., for small children. However, the pool is beside the house and there is also a pond in the garden and lots of cactuses etc., around Figtree House.  Therefore it’s not a suitable location for young children unless under adult supervision at all times.
